- One year certificate from college or technical school

Fabricator
Mid-Ohio Valley Employment is looking for technically skilled candidate with good attention to detail for the position of Fabricator. Fabricators are responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met, among other duties. Moreover, fabricators will be physically able workers who have good dexterity, color vision and stamina.
Job Duties:
- Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
- Taking part in product development meetings
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications
- Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
- Marking cutting lines on material
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in
- Ensuring that quality control standards are met
- Maintaining a production schedule
- Testing products for their functionality

Job Duties:
- Keep company truck and buildings clean
- Preform daily cleaning duties for customers per company techniques

Property Management Maintenance
Mid-Ohio Valley Employment is looking for an individual to work for a local property management company in Marietta and Parkersburg. This individual will apply maintenance skills and customer service skills to overall maintenance of the property to ensure that all physical aspects of the property meet all applicable laws as well as the company’s established standards. They will also troubleshoot and repair all aspects of the property and its units; plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliances, painting and drywall. Work may be performed independently or as part of the maintenance team. This position operates within and contributes to an environment with Fair Housing laws and Equal Employment Opportunity.
Job Duties:
- Troubleshoot work orders daily for residents prioritizing the service requests an ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion
- Prepare vacant units for new residents ensuring that the unit meets the company standards/checklist
- Maintain the exterior grounds of the property and conduct seasonal duties such as snow removal or lawn maintenance
- Conduct walk-throughs of the entire property to ensure everything is in working order; if not, take the appropriate steps for correction
- Prepare for inspections
- Be available for quick response per company policy when on-call
- Attend staff meetings as required or requested
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager or Property Supervisor
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED required
- 3-5 years of prior maintenance experience required
- HVAC certification preferred, valid driver’s license with insurance required
Work Conditions
Work is typically performed at the property with moderate noise level; however, noise level will vary at times depending on assignment. Walking, standing, sitting, crouching, crawling, and climbing are necessary throughout the day. May be exposed to various weather conditions when working on the exterior of the property. It may be necessary to lift weights up to 50 pounds.

Welding
Mid-Ohio Valley Employment is looking to staff experienced/trained welders! The primary responsibility of a welder/fitter is the welding and fabrication of a variety of metal structures from oral directions, sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
Job Duties:
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material
- Examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Report all non-conforming material to the Quality Control Manager or Shop Foreman immediately
- Lay-out, position, align, and secure parts during assembly using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers
- Comply with Quality Control standards and the company Procedure Manual
- Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area or project area on a daily basis and/or when required
- Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to follow directions, as well as the ability to work independently
- Good verbal communication skills
- Possess a solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessories
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications, and welding symbols
- Must be able to read a tape measure, level, and square
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other shop equipment
- Must be able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes
- Must possess the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality
